In Honor of International Beer Day


In Honor of International Beer Day (August 7), let's take a look back at the movies that had the word "Beer" in the title in the last 30 years. Not surprising, most of them are comedies. 


Blood, Sweat & Beer (Documentary/Drama) (2015)
Starring: Brandon Capps, Asa Foster
A documentary exploring the explosive growth of the craft beer industry and the struggles of two start-up breweries.



Beer Wars (Documentary) (2009)
Starring: Anat Baron, Norman Adami
A Contemporary David and Goliath story that takes you inside the cutthroat world of the big business of American beer.



I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell (Comedy) (2009)
Starring: Matt Czuchry (Gilmore Girls), Geoff Stults (7th Heaven)
A guy tries to patch things up with his soon-to-be married pal after botching things up at his bachelor party.



Road Trip: Beer Pong (Comedy) (2009)
Starring: DJ Qualls
Three college roommates join a bus full of gorgeous models and travel the country to compete in a National Beer Pong Championship.



Beer For My Horses (Comedy) (2008)
Starring: Toby Keith, Rodney Carrington, Ted Nugent, Willie Nelson, 
Two best friends work together as deputies in a small town defy the sheriff and head off on an outrageous road trip to save his girlfriend from drug lord kidnappers.



Beerfest (Comedy) (2006)
Starring: Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan
Two brothers travel to Germany for Oktoberfest, only to stumble upon a centuries old competition described as a "fight club" with beer games.

Three guys find a space alien in the woods and attempt to sell it to a tabloid TV show, with disastrous results.



Beer (Comedy) (1985)
Starring: Loretta Swift, Rip Torn, Kenneth Mars
An advertising firm, desperate to keep an account from a financially-ailing brewery, concocts a macho ad campaign focusing on three losers who inadvertently prevent a robbery at the bar.
