Jenny & Pat, YTV hosts of The Zone, formed their own band called Nuclear Donkey which released the extremely silly single "Today Is Friday" on the YTV compilation album YTV's Big Fun Party Mix. Back in the day when making compilation tapes meant waiting for hours for the radio to play your favorite song while you record it on cassette, the Big Fun Party Mix had tons of hit songs that I played over and over. To this day, on every single Friday this song plays over and over and over in my head. Although the song is silly, I love how Canadian it is "I hope you have your toque on".
