Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Board Game Review
Year: 2000
Ages: 14+
Players: 2-8 (For the purpose of this review, there were 2 players)
Set Up Time: 1 Minute
Playing Time: Took us 8 minutes
Object: Take on the role of human or vampire in a battle for control of Sunnydale.
Review:
+ You can play this game with up to 8 people
- You don't get to choose your character, it's assigned at random (I want to be Buffy dammit!). Also every character is associated with a color, also at random, so you don't get to pick your colored pawn either. (Which made it very difficult for me who ALWAYS picks the red pawn to remember that I was the yellow one)
- All players get a day power number and a night power number which will either give them more power to beat their opponent in the daytime or at night. However (especially when playing with only two players) a problem with this game is that if you randomly get assigned a character with higher power numbers (The Master) and your opponent gets randomly assigned a character with low power numbers (Giles), the person with the low power numbers has no chance of winning.
Overall:
D-
