Review:
+ Instead of the pawns being cardboard, they are actually troll pawns.
- I'm pretty sure whoever made this game and picked the colors was color blind or there was a massive mistake made. There are 4 different colored trolls and each troll has their own space on the board with their own wishstones on it. There is a green troll, who has a green spot on the board and green wishstones. There's a blue troll, who has a blue spot on the board and blue wishstones. However, the orange troll has an orange spot on the board but red stones and the purple troll has a yellow spot on the board and yellow wishstones. This game is for kids 5+ and I'm sure with not having the same 4 colors confuses kids, especially ones that aren't very good with their colors yet. It even confused me when I was setting up the game.
- There is a space on the board called "Tree Clump" which caused me great annoyance since the spot before the "Tree Clump" is a "Stop" space where you have to roll a 5-6-7 or 8 on the dice to "jump over" the "Tree Clump" and continue on. If you roll a 1-2-3 or 4, you have to stay on this "Stop" space and try again next time. So if you never actually get to land on the "Tree Clump" space, what the heck is the point of putting it on the board? They could have just shown a picture of a clump of trees instead of making it a designated space you never step on.
- The object of the game is to visit 4 places to collect a wishstone at each of them. However, the stop where you collect your blue wishstone is also Wishstone Mountain where the game ends. They should of have 4 collecting spots AND a spot for the Wishstone Mountain otherwise when I landed on the space to collect my blue stone (and I already had the rest), the game was over.
Overall:
There are a lot more negatives to this game than there are positives. It would be a very simple game for kids to play if all the colors matched and there wasn't spots on the board that you never use. In the end, if you like trolls than you will find something positive about this game. If not, then just use the little troll pawns and their bare bums to moon the other players.
