Crazy Diner Day- Emily's Love Story

Last Updated: 2015

Company: TabTale LTD

# of Levels: 5 (additional 6 levels available for purchase)

Price: 5 levels (free), additional 6 levels ($6.99)

Time Spent Playing: 17 Minutes

Story Line: Help Emily as she encounters unexpected diner surprises and make it to her date on time.

Review:
+ Throughout every level (station) there is a checklist at the bottom that keeps track of the tasks you've done and what you still have to complete.

- Simply put, this game is too easy for me. I'm going to say that based on the story line of this game, I'm too old to be their target demographic. I'd say teenagers or pre-teens would enjoy this game a lot more then I did.

- One of the reasons this game is too simple is because every time you need to do a task the instructions are step-by-step (see picture 3), which is pretty painful for me since I've been playing these games for years now. Again, the younger demographic would probably find this helpful, I find it annoying.

- The full version (which from what I can tell is 6 additional levels) is priced at $6.99 which is BEYOND steep. Even for games I like, the price I'm willing to pay is based on how many levels and how long each level will take me. This game want's over $1.00 a level and it only took me a total of 17 minutes to play the 5 free levels. This doesn't add up.

Overall:
I don't usually come across many time management games that I find crazy easy but this is one of them. Since the game is about finishing a work shift before a date, I'm clearly not the demographic this game is aimed at which is one of the problems. All the instructions for each task are step by step and written for someone a lot younger then myself (see picture 4). Also the price to purchase additional levels is way to steep. There is no way that they should be charging $6.99 for an additional 6 levels when it only took me 17 minutes to complete the 5 free levels. That's just highway robbery.

Game Play Tips:
- At the bottom of every checklist for every task their will be a tool that you will need to play a game for in order to receive. Make sure you play this game FIRST because (if you do what I did, which was work my way down the checklist) you will have to leave this level to earn your tool and will have to re-do the ENTIRE LEVEL once you get this tool.
- When you're playing the game to receive your special tool, make sure that you chop as many vegetables as you can at the same time rather than one at a time when they come up. The more you chop together, the higher your score will be and the faster you will win.
- Don't stress at the end of the tool game about picking the right tool out of the three wrapped present boxes. This game seems you give you the tools in the order that you will require them which makes picking one of three boxes completely irrelevant.
