#5) Dan Conner (John Goodman, Roseanne)
Dan is a hard working blue collar man who makes up for his bluntness with his big heart. Not only does he help raise the children but he also has to deal with his wife's sister and mother who are always hanging around and being nosy. He sometimes speaks without thinking but in the end he does whatever it takes to put the family first. Although the series finale revealed his untimely demise (heart attack), I prefer to think his character is still out there in the TV universe drinking a beer and working on his motorcycle.
