#11) Roger Rabbit

Debut Date: 1981

Roger Rabbit made his first appearance in a mystery novel by Gary K. Wolf in 1981 titled Who Censored Roger Rabbit? In 1988, Walt Disney blended animation and live action together in the feature film that became Who Framed Roger Rabbit? which received rave reviews from both critics and viewers and went on to become the first live-action-animation to win three Academy Awards. Roger Rabbit went on to star in his own self-titled comic book series in 1990 and a spin-off series titled Roger Rabbit's Toontown in 1991. Disneyland and Toyko Disneyland went on to feature a ride based on Roger named Roger Rabbit's Toon Car Spin. Roger was so popular in the early 90s that he became the inspiration for a dance move called The Roger Rabbit.
