Game Time! The Hardy Boys Mystery Game: The Secret of Thunder Mountain

The Hardy Boys Mystery Game: The Secret of Thunder Mountain

Year: 1978

Ages: 8+

Players: 2-4 (For the purpose of this review, there were 2 players)

Set Up Time: 1 minute

Playing Time: Took us 11 minutes.

Object: Be the first player to gather all four of your evidence questions.

Review:
- You can't play as your favorite Hardy boy because all the pawns are boys on motorcycles.
- There are 4 sections and only 7 spaces in each section with the last space requiring you to stop and wait until your next turn to send you to "Any Start Space", meaning that you are constantly stopping and waiting for your next turn.

Overall:
I have never read any of the books in the Hardy Boys series but I'm assuming they are much better than this game. I couldn't come up with anything I even liked about this game. You play as a random pawn instead of your favorite character, you are constantly having to stop on spaces and wait for your next turn and in the end you get answers (who, what, where and when) to a mystery you don't care to solve.
