Kokomo was released by The Beach Boys in 1988 to coincide with the release of the movie Cocktail, which soundtrack features this single. It was nominated for a Grammy Award (for Best Song Specifically Written For A Motion Picture or Television) and for a Golden Globe Award (for Best Original Song).
