Game Time! Family Feud DVD Edition

Family Feud DVD Edition

Year: 2005

Ages: 13+

Players: 2+ (For the purpose of this review, there were two players)

Set Up Time: < 1 minute

Playing Time: Took us 15 minutes.

Object: Get ready to do battle with real Family Feud questions  from the show, the Team Playoff rounds and of course the Fast Money rounds.

Review:
+ Richard Karn is the host.

- Constantly having to hit the enter button on your remote after every question and answer reveal. It should have had a timer on the screen to continue in 30 seconds.
- The Fast Money round is not playing around. The questions were said so fast that we couldn't catch the majority of them while trying to write down answers. There is also no repeat button for the questions.

- A lot of the answers tend to be similar. In the question "Name a sign you might see in a restaurant" I had guessed "restroom" which was right however the answer "ladies room" was also an answer. Or in the question "Name a profession that is considered sleazy" (pictured on the right) they listed both exotic dancer and stripper as answers, which are kind of the same.

Overall:
One of the reasons I bought this game was because Richard Karn was the host. I always enjoyed the TV episodes with him hosting and I'm positive that this is a game that I could actually go on TV and play. The game itself could be improved in several ways: by having an automatic timer, by repeating the fast money questions (or just have them not go so fast in the first place) and by only having questions that don't have more than one similar answer to it. In the end, there are quite a few problems that affect the playability of this game so I'd rather just play the Family Feud app on my iPhone or catch the odd episode on TV.

Upgrade Or Not?
I'd say that if you already have a board/DVD game version of Family Feud that you like, there's no need to buy this version.
