In this zombie filled world, Rick is the kind of dad you want watching your back. He adapted to a whole new world and learned to follow his gut instincts and be tough when it comes to protecting his pre-teen son and his infant daughter. Not only did he relinquish control and teach his son Carl how to use a gun but he consciously surrounds himself with people who will help protect their lives at any cost. It just goes to show that even after a zombie outbreak, good parenting skills are always essential.
