Review:
I've been a fan of Montgomery Gentry since day one and I couldn't wait to listen to their new album. Since I scored their first CD at 79% back in 1999, their scores keep climbing and this new album has topped them all! The songs covered in this album deal with heartbreak ("Pain"), good times ("Headlights", "Back On A Dirt Road"), country folk ("Folks Like Us", "Hillbilly Hippies") and reminiscing ("We Were Here", "In A Small Town", "Two Old Friends"). Out of all the songs they could have picked off of this album as their first single, they chose "Headlights", which isn't one of the stronger ones as it has more of a new-age country sound then their others. Given the chance, I think that most of the other songs have the potential to climb right up those country charts and reach #1.
