Misfits of Science (1985-1986)
Familiar Faces: Courteney Cox (Friends), Dean Paul Martin, Kevin Peter Hall (Harry and the Hendersons).
Misfits of Science was a superhero TV series that ran on NBC for 16 episodes (including one double length pilot). This series followed a group of young superheroes that fight crime for a scientific think tank. One has telekinesis (Cox), one has electrical powers (Mark Thomas Miller), one can shrink (Hall) and they are all run buy a young research scientist (Martin). Also episode 9 titled "Twin Engines" was the first paid writing job for Tim Kring who went on to produce the similar series Heroes in 2006.
Interesting Fact: Dean Paul Martin and Kevin Peter Hall both died at the age of 35. Dean's jetfighter crashed into the mountains during a snowstorm and Kevin died from AIDs.
