Game Time! Clue: The Big Bang Theory Edition Game Review

Clue: The Big Bang Theory Edition

Year: 2013

Ages: 8+

Players: 2-6 (For the purpose of this review, there were 4 players)

Set Up Time: 1 minute

Playing Time: Took us 20 minutes

Object: Be the first to identity who meddled with Sheldon's belonging by analyzing who did it, what heinous deed was done and where the vengeance took place.

Review:
+ All of main characters are playable, aside from Sheldon of course. There's Leonard, Howard, Raj, Penny, Bernadette & Amy with very identifiable character pawns.
+ The majority of the locations seen on the show are locations on the board game.
+ All of the clue tokens are super cute and every easy to distinguish what they are. (My box even got an extra toothbrush token!)
+ All of the cards are colorful, bold and very easy to read.
+ There is also different rules for a two player game or a team game which I love because the older regular versions never changed the rules for two players and sometimes you just can't find an extra person to play!

- There are two bedroom locations and two living room locations making it a bit harder because instead of just being able to say "living room" or "bedroom" you have to specify which one. Maybe they should have made one of them the comic book store? Or one of them Sheldon's work office?
- Some of Sheldon's bonus cards require some trivia knowledge. For example one card stated that the player could add an extra six to their dice roll if they knew the lyrics to "Soft Kitty". Although it was only a bonus card, it does make it harder for people who aren't as familiar with the show to get a little extra.

Overall:
This game has the same components that makes Clue great but done completely in The Big Bang Theory style. You can play as any main character (aside from Sheldon who had the crime committed against him) and all of the pawns are very identifiable with great book style drawings. Since all the clue tokens are different, they are still very distinguishable as well the cards are bold, bright and very easy to read. I think they could have changed up a few locations instead of having two bedrooms and two living rooms. Also, if you're not as familiar with the show as the other players you might have a hard time getting extra bonus card points because of the lack of trivia knowledge. Overall, if you're a fan of The Big Bang Theory you should pick up this game, even if you have a regular version of it, it's worth it.
