Game Time! G.I. Joe: Live the Adventure Board Game Review

G.I. Joe: Live the Adventure

Year: 1986

Ages: 6-10

Players: 2-4 (For the purpose of this review, there was 2 players)

Set Up Time: 1 minute

Playing Time: Took us 10 minutes.

Object: Outmaneuver the attacking Cobra soldiers and be the first to collect 6 Badge of Honor tokens.

Review:

- Everybody plays with the same one G.I. Joe pawn.
- The "attack" and "defend" cards are very similar to playing "Paper, Rock, Scissors". You pick one of two cards and the other player picks one of two cards and you are either shot and lose an energy token or you're safe and win a badge.
- There really isn't much to this game and basically every turn forces you to keep playing the "attack" or "defend" cards.

Overall:
I really can't find anything I actually like about this game. Everybody plays with the same pawn (which just seems like they were to cheap to make multiple pawns) and pretty much every turn you are using the "defence" or "attack" cards which is just a G.I. Joe version of "Rock, paper, scissors".
